TACERA One Day Workshop Report - Feb 23, 2017
The TACERA One Day Workshop Series continued with great success on Tuesday, February 23, 2017 in Kerrville, Texas at the Hill Country Youth Exhibit Center. Training included topics such as Maintaining Asphalt Pavement, Tort Liability, County Signage Issues, Maintaining Gravel Roads, and Road Crew Safety. This Spring One Day Workshop had about 40 registered attendees from Bexar, Blanco, Edwards, Kerr, and Williamson Counties. Outstanding training was provided by the Texas Local Technical Assistance Program (TxLTAP). A big Thank You goes out to our TACERA Office Staff (Markie and Selina). They did a great job with organizing and executing this day long workshop. Next, Thank You to our Gold Sponsor (Wright Asphalt) and our Silver Sponsors (Rock Engineering and Texas Asphalt Paving Association). These sponsors supplied our attendees with valuable information to be used in their road professional jobs. Enough cannot be said for the excellent training provided by UT Arlington based TxLTAP; their speakers are seasoned road and bridge professionals well versed in road maintenance, liability, and safety protocol.

The TACERA Board of Directors created this One Day Workshop Series to fulfill our mission of bringing valuable training to the boots on the ground county road workers around the state. We wanted to reach out to the many county personnel who cannot make it to the Annual TACERA Conference in San Antonio each year. Please visit our website at www.tacera1.com regularly for information on the next One-Day Workshop.
